About The Event

Gary Schocker will be in Chicago to present a Flute and Harp Recital at the Lyon and Healy Building on March 26, 2011, 8:00 pm, and offer a masterclass to the CFC on March 27 at 1:00 pm.

The CFC has been allotted 50 free tickets for the March 26 recital which will be available to members on a first come, first served basis, one ticket per member. If you wish to receive a ticket for the concert, please email CFC membership chair Teresa Muir, membership@chicagofluteclub.org. Friends and family of CFC members may be placed on a waiting list or may call Lyon and Healy directly to purchase additional tickets to this concert.

The March 27 masterclass is open to students of all ages and levels. Please submit the completed masterclass application by February 18, 2011.

About The Artist

Gary, a flutist, composer, and pianist has performed with the New York Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the New Jersey Symphony, and the Dallas Symphony among others. He has composed sonatas not only for flute, but also for piano, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, horn and two pianos and is the most-published living composer of flute music with over 150 works in print. He has given masterclasses throughout the US and would like to work with students, both young as well as those who are more experienced.
