Dear Flutists,
Welcome to the 2011-2012 Chicago Flute Club Season. This is an exciting time for us, and we hope you will engage with the Flute Club, attend the events, and continue to believe this organization is your organization.
Throughout the website you will see the various programs, competitions, and masterclasses offered to club members. Too often someone tells me "the Flute Club is only geared for professional flutists." Wrong, wrong, wrong! This Club is attentive to ALL flutists, regardless of age or number of years of study. We welcome you to participate in workshops and masterclasses whether you're eight, eighteen, thirty-eight, or sixty-eight. As you will read in the Pipeline, we are beginning a Chicago Flute Choir which will meet once a month to read music, make friends, talk about flute topics, and ultimately present a concert.
We want you to learn from and enjoy your Flute Club. Bring a friend – your membership grants you a free ticket to every event (except the Festival). Circle our concert dates on your calendar, and make sure to say hello to the Board Members who work hard to bring you these marvelous Sunday afternoon performances.
