Pedagogy Partners

Pedagogy Partners support the Chicago Flute Club's special programs to approach flute pedagogy as an art form. A full-day workshop scheduled July 28, 2008 begins a year-long commitment towards updating teaching techniques, examining fresh approaches to flute pedagogy, and drawing together professional teachers not only in Chicago but also from throughout the Midwest. Then, beginning in the early Fall at the Music Institute of Chicago, various aspects of flute pedagogy will be addressed in three-hour monthly seminars presented by invited, eminent flute teachers. At the conclusion of the sessions, the attendees receive a Certificate of Completion of the Chicago Flute Institute program.

CFC members attend these sessions as part of their regular membership at no additional cost. Participants receive a Pedagogy Partner Workbook that includes information about flute and music support industries and additional teaching information. This Workbook becomes an important source to teachers, whether they are beginning their educational careers or are seasoned teachers.
