ELIGIBLE SOLOISTS AND COMPETITION RULES:
The Chicago Flute Club’s Donald Peck International Flute Competition is open to all flutists age 18 years or older from any geographical region.
1. J. S. Bach: Partita in a minor for solo flute, II. Corrente (no repeats)
2. Hoover: Winter Spirits (Papagena Press)
1. Visit the competition registration page, www.chicagofluteclub.org/event-3465304, to apply and pay the entrance fee.
2. Submit an unedited .mp3 recording of each piece for the preliminary round. Recordings should be submitted via email to email@example.com. Please label each recording with your first initial, last name, and composer’s last name. (Format: JDonahue.Bach and JDonahue.Hoover)
Finalists will play for a maximum total time of 20 minutes each (including time between movements and works). Final round repertoire must include at least one memorized selection at least four minutes in length.
Each Finalist must perform the following work:

This piece has been commissioned for the 30th anniversary of the Chicago Flute Club. It will not be made available to the public until after the 2019 flute festival.
The remainder of the program is the free choice of the performer. It is permissible to repeat preliminary round repertoire.
