We are going to be doing CHICAGO - That Toddling Town by Fred Fisher, of course!
It's a Bill Holcomb arrangement, which was first performed right here in Chicago at the National Flute Association Convention in 1997 by the Jubilation Flute Orchestra.
How can I participate of the Chicago Flute Club Online Flute Choir?
You have to be or become a Chicago Flute Club member in high school or older in order to register and participate.
When will the registration be open?
The registration opens on August 1st, 2020. Registration closes on August 24th, 2020.
How will the Chicago Flute Club Online Flute Choir work?
Before registering, you have to sign up for the part you wish to perform. We have a total of 25 open slots, 4 first flute parts, 4 second flute parts, 4 third flute parts, 4 fourth flute parts, 4 alto flute parts, 4 bass flute parts, and 1 contrabass flute part.
Please sign up for alto flute, bass flute or contrabass flute parts only if you have those instruments available to perform on. The contrabass flute part is written in bass clef, so you will need to know how to read it.
How will it work?
After submitting your registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with a link to a page for downloading the reference recording, the flute part you signed up for and the link to Dropbox to upload your video.
You will have until August 31st, 2020 to upload your video on Dropbox.
The submitted videos will be combined to make the Chicago Flute Club Virtual Flute Choir video, which should be available for viewing by mid-September.
